John 3: 16 – For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
(The gospel = good news!)
FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD . . .
God loves this world because He created it – it’s His ! (Genesis 1). His chief creation though is mankind, who He made in His own image (Genesis 1: 26). His reason? To have a personal relationship with each and every person – including you!
THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY SON . . .
When Adam and Eve sinned, they broke their relationship with God and their sin infected all mankind (Romans 5: 19). They were happy to live without God but God was not content to live without them – so He sent His own precious Son…
Jesus died to take away the sin of every person (John 1: 29) – including you!
Jesus made the way (and is the only way – John 14: 6) for each of us to have our own personal relationship with God.
THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM . . .
So this is God’s invitation to you – to come into relationship made possible through Jesus’ death and resurrection. So He says – “if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10: 9. Will you accept His invitation ?
SHOULD NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE !
If you accept – you enter into the relationship with God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – that you were created for. And you will receive and experience the fullness of God’s love and you will live in God’s glorious presence starting now and FOREVER!
